Please can our friends and readers bear with us as the old adage: “Be careful what you wish for” seems to have come true.
In order to secure a sufficient sample size to register on YouTube metrics in a similar way that the magnificent nuclear bunker building plumber has on his YouTube account. To our surprise ~ and with the help of you, our brilliant readers, many of whom shared social media posts to magically assist in making these numbers increase, the following happened…
Last September (2025) we made a bet with you all to see of we could double the 300,000 monthly view statistics. Well you wonderful folk certainly did that in style: 9 months further on and as of May 2026…
From 300,000 to 3 million per month!
A bit of a shocker ~ in a good way
But this has caused our contact-page reply times here, to go from 4 hours to a 24 hour turnaround on busy days. Our apologies for this. We are looking at adding PAYE staff to our current crew of 11 volunteers.
The origination of this increase is part of a proof-of-concept test channel on YouTube. All funds generated from this exercise on our teat channel at YouTube will be donated to the new charity.
The main reason for testing YouTube in this manner, is a plumber who built a nuclear bunker in his back garden had his Youtube Channel go viral and ended up with £1,966,000 in the bank…

As well as boosting the new “Buildings At Risk Preservation Trust” charity at this end of the keyboard, our hope is that readers who would like to increase their own unique home buying funds and are minded to start a YouTube channel can see a reasonably well detailed example of how that process works.
Even if some of our readers just run their channel at 10% of the above example, an extra £199,600 into readers savings account is worth studying.

Plus a thrill when a researcher called (several years ago) to ask if we could supply a list of suitable islands. Quite an honour. Also, the older of our crew really identified with the age and eventual decrepitude of when a body, any body ages to the point where you can almost feel the pain of Daniel Craig in this final few seconds of a life well lived.
