PLEASE NOTE: THIS LISTING IN UNIQUE PROPERTY BULLETIN WILL NOT NOW GO AHEAD.

THERE IS AN ANGER AT THE BANKING SYSTEM WHICH IS PROBABLY BEST VENTED ELSEWHERE.

DRAFT ARTICLE; UNPUBLISHED

Bank Robbery. For Sale. Natwest Wants £190,000.

Maybe Make The Bank’s Eyes Water & Offer £99,000.

Former Natwest Bank, Fountain Place,

Burslem, Stoke on Trent ST6 3QA.

Please note, as at the date of this listing on our Unique Property Bulletin website, this former three storey bank failed to sell at auction, but is still subject to what we are uncomfortable with: relatively punitive auction fees.

These seller fees are named the “modern method”, by the auction house. Please make sure you read the FULL fees that the bank and their agents want YOU top cough up for.

Our advice is for anyone who has been mistreated by a bank and RBS/Natwest are amongst the most disgusting financial institutions on the make, you would do well to go in with a very low offer and make the senior managers learn how it feels to be treated badly.

We would offer £99,000.

If they complain, by law, the offer must be submitted.

Maybe mention the punitive fees are reflected in your offer.

Try not to cackle too much at the irony.

This is a magnificent building. A lot of money has been spent on it. That must have taken a lot of rip-off charges to screw customers.

If you think we are being harsh, just consider what the senior managers, the disgraced ex-knight boss of this bank, (formerly “Sir”) Fred, The Shred Goodwin presided over and then understand our disgust at these money grabbing bank bosses…

So please have no mercy when you bid on this bank

The reason you are reading this is because my career as a law officer was cut short by injury in that job. After leaving Strathclyde Police, one of the things I did in 1989 was grow Unique Property Bulletin from an obscure paper format publication with a 3,000 circulation into something useful. After transferring this service online in 2010 it has been fortunate in going from strength to strength and now exceeds 180,000 readers (here). We anticipate the rankings will increase when our new offices open later this month/early September. Before renovation: here. During renovation: here. Almost completed: here. For the first time in 33 years we will have some paid staff to assist the volunteers and this service is FREE for you to use. Including online rankings which are fairly healthy…

In that previous career, Tulliallan Police College did an impeccable job in training me…

Russ McLean & Sheena McIllivray on Islay, 1985.

For the life of me, with all the legal training imbued by many fine and experienced officers at Tulliallan, I cannot understand why the UK dhas not yet followed the Icelandic example in regard to UK bank infractions…

You might wonder why we are being so harsh on senior bankers?

Apologies to any bank customers if this narrative is uncomfortable.

But we have spend 23 years creating jobs and are incredibly upset when RBS/NatWest corruptly send in their henchmen to kill off good, viable, 1businesses and jobs to steal the assets of their customers to save their own skins.

It gets worse.

Here at Unique Property Bulletin, we are NOT an estate agency and normally state “we have no skin in the game”. So can give a frank view in terms of estate agency blurb and price/valuations etc.

But this time and for most banks full disclosure: we do have skin in the game.

The banks were culpable in the death of one of the editor’s friends.

Our friend committed suicide because of debt problems. Words given to the family seem inadequate. The only other thing we could think of was to establish a money advice charity in the memory of our friend…

We ran this charity for 10 years and then closed (“removed”) it.

In a parallel to the volunteers who run Unique Property Bulletin, the old Creditcare Money Advice Charity struggled with the volume of folk needing help. So we wrote a DIY debt survival manual…

^^^ First Edition ^^^

The DIY debt survival manual helped our charity’s volunteers. A lot. But then Scott Chisolm from London’s Talk Radio phoned us tpoo ask if we could offer someone for an interview…
