Companies House have tried to build an IT system that verifies the identity of company directors.
Companies House current Registrar has failed.
Here is the result of distress caused when the managing director of one limited company, Russ McLean has to resign.
Why?
Because Companies House reneged on their promise to the Sheriff (Scottish term for a judge) given, by the Companies House solicitor that Companies House, as part of their settlement to Mr McLean and his job-creating companies, would appoint a “Disabled Director Liaison Officer.”

Why Should Companies House Bother
With Disabled Directors?
Well firstly because it is the law in terms of the Equality Act 2010.
Secondly, because the previous Registrar, an honourable, decent, humane and LAW ABIDING person called Louise Smyth CBE promised the judge at Forfar Sheriff Court she would appoint a “Disabled Directors Liaison Officer.”
Thirdly, this fromer police officer did NOT want to sponge off of the State. So in 1997, he sent the DHSS a (non means tested) Disability Living Allowance benefit book he had been awarded after receiving spinal injury during his service as a police officer.
That and other UNCLAIMED benefits have, according to the company book keeper, SAVED the State £282,000 in benefits the government have NOT had to pay out.
