Nope, no matter how much we would love to find an old DB5, they are way beyond the budget… even of a significant number of our High-Net-Worth readers (many of whom have helped make this website free and secure for decades to come – though we need fewer annoying adverts (Steve, can our IT be tweaked on that please)).

Is the iconic DB5 for sale again?
For this old Aston Martin “barn find” we have a reasonable candidate where it might be stored. Located in Dorset, you best get your skates on as the auction is scheduled for 9th December 2021. Though, please always check to see if an auction lot that interests you failed to sell? We secured many bargains by going back a few days later and asking a simple question or two. If a property has failed-to-sell-at-auction, then that fact usually helps us (or you) to negotiate a better purchase price.
Also, if you think think laterally, this barn project may be bought by a building company: in which case it the completed conversion to a unique home may be placed back up for sale. So if you keep an eye on the new owner and their progress, you could secure a tasty off-market bargain.

Good grief, been in lockdown too long. Too many old dogs and new trick videos. I was actually looking for the Skfall building to feature in another post. Sadly it was a movie prop and not an permanent structure.

It is important to mention that (many) planning permissions come with a community contribution. For this property it is £5,451.
For what it’s worth, here at Unique Property Bulletin, we think this Comunity Infrastructure Levy is an excellent idea. In fact our own planning applications tend to go further. We are kind of addicted to the brownfield site upcycling thing, especially the buzz we get when jobs are created.
