Archives – Paper Editions To Online Research Resources

Unique Property Bulletin

Welcome to our (electronic) archiving of many pages, running into the thousands from every paper-based Unique Property Bulletin of the past 40 years.

This is a major undertaking ~ 26 years’ of paper editions: 1985 to 2011, after which, the Bulletin went online: 2011 to 2025 and beyond. But every job starts somewhere and the lighthouse stations we used to own below are places we love very much, so here we begin this archive of old Bulletins for your research purposes and general interest.

The initial uploads to these archives are small in number. This is mainly because Russ McLean’s recent inheritance of the Calum’s List website and urgent work required to rebuild that ~ and to make it work in a way that helps the new charity evolve. The Calum’s List website effort is (rightfully) taking up a lot of our volunteers’ time.

So this page and the ones that follow will be very “random” transfers from our master-files. These are an old (ancient) back catalogue, relating to the Unique Property Bulletin.

Redactions/blanking of parts is kept to a minimum. However, the way the modern internet works does require redaction of old postal addresses (as an example). This is because some folk may stumble across these pages “out of the blue” (and out of context)… then mistakenly assume the very old addresses to be correct 30 to 40 years after the original publication dates. Hence th redactions of 30-year-old addresses!

We shall be doing this archive and electronic filing on a gradual “as and when needed” basis so as to save the sanity of our volunteers and ensure the work at the inherited “Calum’s List” website, plus the new charity are dealt with at pace.

There is also an effort to “archive” more modern editions of online Unique Property Bulletin ~ so we may merge these pages with a dedicated, bespoke archive research facility for you…

Unique Property Bulletin

A Lot Has Come From This Obscure Publication

Please remember, we are NOT an estate agency. We are just  group of 11 eccentric friends who share details of unusual buildings for sale and rent with like minded fellow eccentrics such as your good selves.

There are many of these books and files spanning 40 years of…

A]. Unique Property Mischief.

B]. Listed Building Rescue: Especially Unique Buildings.

C]. High Street Rescue (job creation).

D]. Charities For Causes Close To Members’ Hearts.

The latest charity has the aim of halving electricity costs via community-owned-power-generation. There is an interesting synergy with charities one and two giving birth to charity number three and a generator station that will help reduce electricity bills whilst looking like a unique home….

^^ Boldt Castle Electricity Generator Station ^^

We will be building one of these in the next “proof of concept” project from these very pages of Unique Property Bulletin.

The “Boldt Castle” style of unique generator station (picture above) will form part of the break-even and cost-neutral element of our “community owned power generation” project. This is in order to keep community electricity costs down.

We aim to reduce each community’s power costs by half.

For members who have studied our Creditcare charity and then just Googled the “Calum’s List” website that Russ McLean inherited, a lot of what we are doing with the Boldt Castle project will make sense.

Simply put, we are joining the skillset of 11 years money advice charity + 12 years of money advice association (not-for-profit) along with 17 years of heavy engineering charity to reduce the lethal carnage evidenced in “Calum’s List” and hopefully reduced ~ by the third charity being born from the “Calum’s List” website ~ and several supportive members of Unique Property Bulletin Ltd (click here).

.^^ This Charity (#1) Was Registered In 1996 ^^

Thanks To Unique Property Bulletin Readers & Members

It Endured For 11 Years of Service To Others ^^

Lest any new readers have doubts about the veracity or ability of the crew at Unique Property Bulletin plus many thousands of members to buy a reservoir and build a hydro power energy scheme (plus solar power + wind turbine + tidal power), here is an excerpt from the charity number 2, the Constitution of which, was typed on the same keyboard that is typing these words. The quantum of funding required to help remedy the Calum’s List tragedies and reduce that number thereon ~ as excerpted from our associate (but unrelated) OSCR Charity Commission website illustrating the fundraising targets met by charity #2 and a similar set of targets need to be set and met for charity #3: click here. In other words with trustees + members + skillsets + ability to fundraise and a specialism in reservoirs and power generation from all main ecological systems, the new charity number 3 stands a very good chance of setting
